In a powerful step toward sustainability, Accra Majestics Sports Academy has partnered with The Sportree Initiative, an environmental impact program that mobilizes the sports community to take climate action through tree planting under the theme #TriesForTrees.
The partnership seeks to integrate tree planting activities into Accra Majestics’ ongoing community and environmental programs, reinforcing the academy’s commitment to using sport as a tool for positive change.
Through this collaboration, tree planting sessions will be organized before or after selected sports matches and community clean-up exercises, turning each sporting moment into an opportunity to protect and restore the environment.
“Sports has always been about teamwork and impact on and off the field. This partnership with The Sportree Initiative allows us to extend that impact to our environment and communities,” said Rachel Ankomah, Founder and Coach of Accra Majestics Sports Academy. “As we grow the game of rugby plus other sports, we also have a responsibility to grow a greener and more sustainable future.”
